Where are your servers located?
Our goal is to put your website in a location which makes the most sense geographically as well as in terms of network topology. At present, we have staff/backup servers in our offices in Indiana, and customer sites are stored in datacenters in Michigan and California. Over time we will be adding more locations as it makes sense, as long as the new locations meet our stringent quality standards. For more information about our network, please see our network page.
Where do I turn if I need help?
We maintain a contact us page that lists the various departments and the ways to contact us. We endeavour to have someone available 24/7/365 in the event existing clients need any assistance whatsoever.
What payment methods may I use?
At present, we currently only accept Paypal and Google Checkout for month to month orders. We can also accept Checks/Money Orders on accounts paid 6 months in advance, but please understand that this may cause a delay in setting up your account while funds clear.
At Sabrienix, we stand behind the services we offer. As such, on most services we offer (our sales staff will alert you if there is no refunds on a service you're interested in, eg: dedicated servers), on a case by case basis if we feel that we were unable to meet the level of service that we agreed upon, we will refund payments as appropriate as a measure of good faith. In return for this promise, we expect you to do your part by alerting us any time we're not living up to your expectations - you can't use a service and remain silent for 28 days of a month, then claim that the service never did what you wanted and expect a refund. However, if you allow us to take care of you, we're confident you will feel like you got your money's worth - and if we can't offer the service we agreed to, we'll refund your money.
Please understand, however, that any client who files a Paypal dispute exempts themselves from ever receiving a refund. Paypal's dispute policy does not apply to services and they will close your dispute when the Paypal mediator notices it's for a service - all it will do is tie up funds that we need to take care of other customers. We do our utmost to ensure we are taking care of every client, but if you're not feeling like we are taking care of you please contact us, not Paypal.
The moment you file a Paypal dispute or "chargeback", all payments become non-refundable except where prohibited by law. Paypal disputes are a final step for people unable to get a resolution from an unresponsive company, not a method for you to get our attention because we didn't answer you in one business day.
Do you keep backups of my site?
At present, we take nightly backups of our entire servers to an off-site server. This is a complimentary service, in the event of something catastrophic happening to the server your site is hosted on.
If you accidentally delete a file, and contact us prior to the backup taking place we can probably rescue the file for you. At this point, we don't keep 7 day backups because we are working on provisioning a new-and-improved backup service, so if the backup server updates it's copy after you delete a file, that file is probably gone.
When the new backup server is put in place, we will be able to rescue any file(s) deleted or corrupted in the last 7 days, with the first three restore operations of each month being complimentary. Subsequent restores can be performed for $20USD.
If there are sensitive files that you only wish to maintain a single copy of on the live server, please contact us to arrange a backup exemption.
The taking of backups by our server does not count towards your bandwidth allowance.
Can I host adult content on my site?
As a company, we place no censorship of any kind adult content hosted on our servers. However, we are still obligated to comply with the relevant laws. Specifically, you must comply with all federal laws governing adult content (e.g. 18 U.S.C. 2257), as well as California, Indiana and Michigan state laws and the laws of your locale. Generally, if you meet all these requirements, we have no problem hosting your site. If you're interested in legalese, please see our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy for what is acceptable on our servers.
